I'm a web designer and digital graphic designer based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and have spent the last ten years building a career in design and marketing. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Design from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My design career began working for a commercial printing company where I  learned how to create work that's optimized for printed mediums and how to run and fix large format, UV Flatbed, and digital printers. I continued my career in design for five years at Implus, a premium athletic accessories house of brands, where I played an integral role in several brand redesigns and pioneered our company's digital design program. I followed a newfound passion for website and digital design and joined the IT Development team in project managing over thirteen Ecommerce website redesigns and other web development projects. I was then promoted to an Ecommerce Business Analyst, managing and launching larger technical website projects for the business.

 

After spending a few years in the IT and project management space, I really missed design. During the pandemic, I decided to go back to my creative roots with design and creative marketing work. I currently work at a Digital Experience Agency called Nishtech where I design amazing websites and digital experiences for big brands. I also freelance with local dream clients here in Raleigh to create super engaging digital designs for Instagram, TikTok, websites, email, and other digital mediums.

 

When I'm not designing I love traveling to new places, fitness classes, interior design, laying on the beach, hosting events, hanging out with the fam, and being active with my sweet Red Tick Coonhound Rosie. I live in East Raleigh, North Carolina with my husband Josh who co-owns a craft cocktail bar named Killjoy Cocktail. We have fun working on creative concepts for them together. The last few years, I've been working on turning my passion for women's equality into action here in our community through hosting and organizing fundraising events for different causes that help women.

My passion for design and how it impacts the world began as a child where I spent my youth helping my mom renovate and decorate homes in Rochester, New York. As a kid and youth, I designed scrapbooks, painted, taught children's watercolor classes, formed an art and book supply non-profit that donates materials to Rochester city schools, and wrote a lot of short stories about dragons (it was a thing). Helping others by taking something that looks dated or lacks sophistication and making it appealing, giving it visual impact, ignites a fire in me and has always given my life meaning.​
